AGROPTIMIZE

The new Research & Development Centre

WANAKA, the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) and the University of Liège (ULg) have formed a partnership with the aim of creating AGROPTIMIZE.

The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) is an RTO (Research and Technology Organisation) dedicated to the development of technologies and the creation of innovative products and services.

With its 170 scientists and engineers from the Life Sciences, Environment, and IT fields, LIST’s Environmental Research and Innovation (ERIN) Department pools the interdisciplinary skills and knowledge needed to provide solutions to key environmental challenges.

The University of Liège comprises more than 23,000 students in its 11 faculties extending across the three campuses of Liège, Gembloux and Arlon. More than 3,200 lecturers and researchers are dedicated to training students and conducting high-level academic research.

Integrated into the University of Liège, the Arlon Campus is the seat of the Department of Environmental Sciences and Management.

The Environmental, Water & Earth Science Unit is one of the Department’s six research units. The unit's main research topic is agrometeorology, which has led to the development of expertise in the agriculture-environment relationship owing to extensive experience gained in developing countries.
